Sister! Moose, Mushrooms and Fabulous Fall!

Glorious, glorious times!   Alaska!

Erika has come and gone... but the memories will last forever:)

Alaska State Fair, FOREIGNER, Chena Hot Springs, Spider Man pinball at Uncles Joe's Pizza and cards at the Park Woods Motel... all awesome, and all not caught on camera.

Erika's trip into Denali Park WAS captured on "film"...

                                       Just the tip!

                                                                     Bou!

                                             Bou Butt!

                                           More Bou...

                                                                             MOOSE!

Before hitting up the lovely, soothing hot springs of Chena, Erika and I did a little hike... and found lots of SHROOMS!

And then... MOOSE!  Pretty much the essential moose photos...

AND last but certainly NOT least.... FALL COLORS!

Remember these guys?

Oh how times have changed... but the berries are still DELICIOUS...

And oh... the fireweed....

Five falls I've seen the color change... and every time is as amazing as the last.... Fall is awesome.

Fall in Alaska is truly a visual treat before the visual monotony of winter...

Finally FLOWER!

Not so much flowerS... just flower...

It only took ALL SUMMER, but finally one of my nasturtium plants produced a single flower.  I really WANT to eat it... however I feel that I should let it bloom freely for at least another day or so:)

In words from The Little Prince, or Le Petit Prince, or even yet, Chhota RajKumar...

"People where you live grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for... and yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose..."

My indoor nasturtium can only dream of flowering one day, right now it's just trying to stay warm and get some sun and not be eaten by ravenous cats...

I was happy today to see many baby trees where all our trees had been cut down.   Maybe in a few decades we'll have some trees back...

Life is so beautiful.
